Trustsoft’s 24/7 support and operations for SICPA's secure travel application

SICPA's new client commissioned a secured traveling app that would check all the necessary GDPR marks and more. The idea behind it was to allow travelers to have all the data safely stored within the application—boarding info, shopping receipts, air tickets—and to share only the necessary ones with the third party (airport services). The app was designed to be state-of-the-art, following all security trends with high automation and nonstop monitoring.

The Task‍

SICPA’s team built the application on AWS, leveraging Amazon S3 for secure, encrypted, and GDPR-compliant data storage, ensuring that sensitive traveler information was protected and easily retrievable. AWS Lambda provided a serverless, scalable backend for fast and efficient data processing, while Amazon RDS offered a reliable relational database platform for structured information. AWS IAM ensured fine-grained access control, and AWS WAF protected the application from common web exploits. Amazon CloudWatch delivered real-time performance and security monitoring.‍

The application was well-designed with cutting-edge AWS technologies. However, the market standard of scalable observability and full 24/7 operations—mainly incident management—was also desired. Trustsoft was chosen as the best partner for this.‍

What We Helped  With‍

Trustsoft implemented an affordable and high-performing monitoring and alerting solution using the Prometheus + Grafana stack, integrated with Amazon CloudWatch metrics and alarms. In contrast to enterprise alternatives (Datadog, Dynatrace), we ensured high availability, mitigated risks, and improved SLA compliance while decreasing licensing costs.‍

We collaborated with SICPA's engineers on automation using tools like Terraform and ArgoCD, enabling seamless deployment to AWS infrastructure and including self-repair capabilities in case of failures. These solutions leveraged AWS APIs for faster provisioning, scaling, and incident resolution.  Based on the success of this collaboration, SICPA ordered our Enterprise SRE Cost Optimization and 24/7 support.‍‍

24/7 support onboarding went smoothly as expected. Cloud operations now deliver efficiency, scalability, and maximum automation. Enterprise support swiftly addresses ongoing issues, and downtime is minimized, which directly boosts client productivity.
