Introdution
Increased safety with SICPA’s travel application SICPA has dedicated itself to helping governments, central banks, high-security printers and industry find comprehensive solutions to widespread security issues. Throughout the years, the company has expanded from protecting most of the world’s currency to providing secured identification, traceability and authentication solutions and services.When developing a high secured traveling application, SICPA asked us for assistance.
The Task
SICPA's new client commissioned a secured traveling app that would check all the necessary GDPR marks and more. The idea behind it was to allow travelers to have all the data safely stored within the application (boarding info, shopping receipts, air tickets etc...). and to share only the necessary ones with the third party (airport services). The app was designed to be state-of-the-art, following all the security trends with high automation and nonstop monitoring.
SICPA's team started to develop the app on AWS. The application was well designed with cutting edge technologies. However, the market standard of scalable observability and full 24/7 Operations - mainly incident management, was also desired. Trustsoft was chosen as the best partner for this.
What we helped with
Trustsoft implemented an affordable and high-performing monitoring and alerting solution Prometheus + Grafana stack. In contrast to enterprise alternatives (Datadog, Dynatrace...) we mainly ensured high availability, mitigated risks and improved their SLA, while decreasing licensing costs.
We collaborated with SICPA's engineers on automation with tools like Terraform and ArgoCD which includes self-repair capabilities in case of any issues.
Based on the satisfaction of mutual cooperation, SICPA ordered our Enterprise SRE Cost Optimization and 24/7 support.
24/7 support onboarding process went smoothly as expected. Cloud operations now provide efficiency, scalability and maximum automation. Enterprise support swiftly addresses any ongoing issues. Downtime is minimized which improves client’s productivity.
