FAQ

Please, see the answers for the most burning questions.

What does SPP stand for?
The Solution Provider Program (SPP) is an AWS program that entitles AWS partners to provide end clients with AWS Resell services.
What is AWS Resell?
The AWS Resell refers to the service offered by authorized AWS Partners who resell AWS services to end customers. This lets customers purchase AWS services through the partner, often combined with additional services and support.
Will Trustsoft invoice any additional charges over official AWS prices?
Trustsoft will only invoice you for the AWS services consumed with no additional charge on top of the official AWS price.
Do we need to use a company credit card with AWS Resell?
With the Trustsoft AWS Resell program, you will no longer need to use your company credit card. You will be provided with an invoice for the use of AWS resources.
What does it mean to have consolidated billing?
By default, AWS bills each of your payer accounts separately (individual invoice). ⚪️ By selecting consolidated billing, you will receive an overall invoice for all your AWS resource consumption from all your payer (master) accounts.
What are the benefit services?
Trustsoft offers optional benefit services at no extra cost. These services can provide added value to your AWS Resell experience. The specific level of services you'll receive depends on your benefit tier.
Who pays Trustsoft to support clients and offer benefit services?
AWS primarily focuses on developing and enhancing its services while outsourcing customer support and care to specialized partners. AWS pays these partners for their services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional value. Our benefit services are a key part of that commitment.
How do we determine the benefit tier to which we belong?
Your benefit tier in a given month is determined based on the amount of your AWS spend
(excluding VAT) invoiced in the previous month.

The Trustsoft team will identify the initial benefit tier during the onboarding process (once
you provide your latest AWS invoice for our review).
We have a monthly AWS spend of over $50k (excl. VAT). What do you need to be able to calculate an individual proposal?
For an individual proposal of over USD $50k monthly (excl. VAT), we need to know more details about your account structure, etc. Therefore, we will ask you to provide your latest AWS invoice for our review.
In the unlikely event we need something else, we will let you know.
What is a Well-Architected Review?
The Well-Architected Framework Review (WAFR) is an architectural assessment based on the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The framework is a set of best practice standards that will help you increase quality, save costs, and help you and your employees achieve business goals.

The WAFR is included at no extra cost as an optional benefit of the AWS Resell program and depends on the level of your benefit tier.
How can we address issues identified during the Well-Architected Review?
Trustsoft will gladly assist you with remediating the issues. The Well-Architected report provided by Trustsoft contains estimates for individual issue remediation. Simply mark areas you want to be fixed by Trustsoft and send them back to us. We will provide you with a tailor-made proposal for the remediation of the selected issues.
What is an Entry model operation?
The entry model is one of Trustsoft operation models. It allows you to request hands-off consultation hours with one of Trustsoft architects on the topic of your choice.

The entry model is included at no extra cost as an optional benefit of the AWS Resell program, and the number of free-of-charge hours depends on the level of your benefit tier.
How does the Entry operation work?
You can request your hands-off consultation hours via the dedicated e-mail address.

A Trustsoft Architect will provide you with hands-off consultation on a dedicated call (Q&A session) to help you answer questions related to the design, construction, and operation of cloud infrastructure, including cost optimization and the FinOps approach.
Who will be addressing my requests?
A certified AWS Solution Architect provides monthly hands-off consultations.
Can we utilize unused Entry model hours in the following months?
Available hands-off consultation hours are not cumulative and, therefore, not transferable between months.
What if we need more consultation hours or even hands-on help?
There are two options you can select from.

1. “Shared pool” of hours

Each month, the operations team reserves a portion of its capacity as a shared pool of additional hands-off consultation hours for all clients. The first-come-first-served model is applied until the team's capacity is fully utilized.

The additional hands-off consultation hours can be agreed upon with the AWS Resell Service Manager via the email address awsresell@trustosft.eu.

The additional hands-off consultation hours ordered are subject to client payment. Ask us for the hourly rate that will be used for invoicing. These are commitment-free; you only pay for what you ordered/consumed on top of the number of hours provided in your benefit tier in a given month.

2. Upgrade to the “Consultation” model

If a) the shared pool does not have enough capacity, b) you need a large number of hours dedicated to you, or c) you also need some hands-on help, then you can upgrade to one of our paid plans with reserved capacity just for you.

One of the options is a “Consultation” model, in which we agree on the number of monthly consultation hours (hands-on) and your desired response SLA. Then, each month, we will reserve capacity only for you.

We can start slow and increase the number of consultation hours you need. Agreed consultation hours are not cumulative and, therefore, not transferable between months.
What is the difference between hands-off and hands-on?
Hands-off - Provided services are in the form of advisory or Q&A sessions only (no documents or reports are created, we do not touch client code, etc.)

Hands-on - Provided services can cover almost any client request, including coding and document creation.
